converge - high school years

The teens have been described as ‘white-water rafting years’: terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time! This is where all of the preparation of childhood is put to the test.

Teenagers desire the security of childhood with the autonomy of adulthood.  As teens try on adult identities and decide who they will be, we want to provide a loving, wise voice, to help  encourage them to maturity in life and faith and pick them up when they stumble.

Converge combines four key elements:

Teaching – we discover and discuss God’s Word so we can be shaped and know and serve God well

Worship – we respond to God together so we can meet with him and pour ourselves out to him

Fun – we have a good time together so we can build life-long friendships and memories

Evangelism – we make known the good news of the Kingdom so we can invite others to follow Jesus

Converge meets during school terms on Sunday nights at 6pm.

3-5 Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift?

    the fruit of the womb his generous legacy?
Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows
    are the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents,
    with your quivers full of children!
Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you;
    you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.

Psalm 127:3-5 (The Message)

Teenagers are a blessing not a curse! Whether you're having an easy time of parenting or finding yourself out of your depth with challenges, God gave children to be blessings. God, also, in His wisdom, chose you to be the parents.
